Beach camping at CAMPMD
”Far East Beach” and “Central Beach” are the beach camping area at CAMPMD.
Each campsite is located along the beach which provides an amazing view of the Potomac River.
The campsites are not accessible by vehicle but they are a short walk away from the parking area. At the time of your arrival, we will help you transport your gear to your site.
Far East Beach “FEB”, has 4 individual bathroom stools and 2 individual outdoor showers for their guest. Pets are not allowed in this area, if you have a “service dog” please contact us before you make a reservation to help you accommodate your needs.
Due to the limited amount of sites, we recommend booking at least 4 weeks in advance for Regular Weekends and 6 weeks in advance or more for Holiday Weekends.
SINGLE BEACH CAMPSITE
All our single sites are roughly 30×30 feet. The layout of the campsites varies due to the natural layout of the trees but you can fit two 11’x9’ tents on most sites.
Included with the price is the admission of 4 people to each site, with the option to pay for additional guests to join you in your space. Our recommendation is if you exceed 8 adults, is best to rent an additional campsite.
All of them have 1 picnic table, 1 outdoor charcoal grill, 1 Fire Pit, and access to 1 electrical outlet. The electricity provided is enough to power some lights and charge your cellphone. Is not intended to power big electric appliances like refrigerators, freezers, AC units, or Heaters. The water for these sites is shared and its located by the outdoor showers.

Picnic Table
All picnic tables are made at of treated wood. Single sites get 1 table per site and the group site gets 2 tables.
Charcoal Grill
All Charcoal grills are mounted on the sand and can not be move. Single sites get 1 grill and the group site gets 2 grills.
Fire Pit
All sites, single and group, get only 1 fire pit.
Electrical Outlet
All beach sites, get 1 single outlet. The electricity provided is enough to power some lights and charge your cellphone. Is not intended to power big electric appliances like refrigerators, freezers, AC units, or Heaters.
